Facilitating Integration of Childhood Obesity
Services in Primary Care through Education
Sláintecare is an Irish government initiative that focuses on prevention of disease and integration of health services in the community. RCSI and Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street are supporting implementation of Sláintecare by increasing access for health professionals to training and education in the field of childhood obesity.
This project will address key recommendations of the Obesity Action Plan and the Healthy Ireland Framework by enhancing training and education of healthcare professionals.
We will enhance education by first asking Irish health professionals what their training needs are. Thereafter, we will develop and offer high quality education to health professionals.
